Respect for that teacher. I mean, if I was a teacher and a student pulled a smart move like that, as well as making a presentation that the whole class genuinely enjoyed, I'd say they earned a good grade.

I have a similar story, except my teacher was in on it! In 8th grade we were supposed to do a reenactment of the writing and signing of the Declaration of Independence. We all had to draw a name from a hat and research our historical person and what they brought to the DOI. But she skipped over me during the picking. I was really confused until she told me to stay after class. I went to her desk and she tells me:
âHey, so Iâve got a deal for you. Youâre the shortest in our class and James Madison? One heckuva short guy. So youâre him by default. But hereâs the catch: the dude just listened and wrote down what everyone said. So all I want you to do is show up on the day dressed up and Iâll give you a stack of paper and a feather pen and you can just draw or scribble or write whatever you want. Just donât tell the others!â
I was like âOh heck yeah!â And kept it to myself.
Needless to say when the day came I had a field day drawing OCâs on the âDeclaration of Independenceâ LOL
