I saw Cobweb yesterday. It was not really scary, but I did like the acting and the story was good. It felt like a Grimm's fairy tale and the story switches to something a little crazy like Barbarian.

Saw this a few weeks ago in Regal mystery Monday movie. I enjoyed it. I liked that they spent time on character development. I liked that this was a new horror; it’s refreshing. My only few disappointments are the rules on the artifact by the end of the film and maybe the ending.
Minor spoiler talk….
How is the dead able to manipulate what the person sees like she ended up sucking the friend’s toes/foot? Or the whole issue with the death of the mother? Is that even the mother real or just an evil spirit? By the end of the movie, I’m still not sure if it is the mother or she got corrupted or it is an evil spirit pretending to be the mother? It might be good discussion points, but I don’t like movies that are opened to interpretations.

I agree with your assessment. The movie certainly has its shining moments but it is predictable at some places, it is not a great movie by any means but it is worth a watch.
