Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here:    • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time.

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our jou

Kara & Nate, there is a reason you always get treated well when you travel in luxurious accommodations, airlines,or trains; you treat the the staff as friends not as servants. Those passengers who travel this way see them as subservient to them. Love your channel.

As a londoner I had no idea either of these trains existed - love your attitude, makes you folks super watchable when you're grateful!! Also I loved Kara's British accent!! So fun!!

i took those same etiquette courses Nate... 10:30 top utensils are dessert spoon and fork... and Kara was correct; start from the outside and move your way inward. The biggest takeaway i had from those classes was how to eat bread properly. I still do it to this day and always observe others as they eat bread. lol

I truly love Kara and Nate because not once will you feel that they are taking for granted the things they are experiencing. Kara especially, always have the brightest reactions to whatever they see or eat or do. Grateful for these two. Love from the Philippines!

Kara and Nate continue to take us to all corners of the world. Whether it’s by train, boat, motorbikes, or an electric foil board, I love your work so much! p.s. Your circle of friends just make the journey all the more better!

You can travel on the Pullman to Dover and then cross the channel to France to pick up the Orient Express to Venice - bucket list type of thing.

Such a sweet reflection of gratitude Nate. Thank you for taking all the trouble to video, edit and post consistently for so many of us to enjoy, informed, inspired and motivated.

OK, I can NOT be the only one blown away that with all the amazing travel, and all the incredible meals these two have shown us (love you guys), that Kara has no idea what Crème fraÎche is or that it is pretty much fancy sour cream. I mean, just watch a Gordon Ramsey video, he uses it all the time.

I absolutely love how you’ve spent your time in the UK, the weekend you did about 5 years ago didn’t do our country justice. I’m glad you enjoy it

Planes, trains along with food are my favorite videos that y’all put out! Thank you from someone who dreams of traveling. This one was exceptional! Nate is looking more and more like he could be Burt Reynolds’s son. 😊

You had much better weather in Bath than I did. Everyone (relatives, shopkeepers, taxi drivers) there kept apologizing for the snow falling in April. Apparently that is not usual. This was in 1998 or so. I agree with Nate: Kara's sunglasses rob her of most of her expressionism. I didn't realize that Kara's range of emotions was so much of the attraction of watching your videos!

I know you were not raised in luxury so that’s what makes you two so special. Your enthusiasm for luxury travel is so special to you.

In 2015 my friend and I drove from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada to Chicago and boarded the American Pullman Train system and went to New Orleans. We were in New Orleans for 3 nights and then took the Pullman train back to Chicago. It was, as Kara has said, like going back in time. There was live music and the food was fantastic.
