I used to work in a gov-funded lab too... Yeah as soon as I made a breakthrough they said my work was "no longer needed" but they took the equipment, my notes, and cited a part of my contract that states details of my work may not legally be shared. I wonder if this is the same in other countries?

The apartment scene doesnt make any sense to me, i understand it was for a joke but how would at least sheldon not realize theyre on the wrong floor and wrong apartment with all of his eidetic memory and obsessive attention to detail before they even opened the door, and how would they have the key to open an apartment that isnt theirs in the first place. It just seems forced for the sake of the joke.
