Remember I was 23 and recently met my future wife just before this came out, I remember asking her who this was singing on her cassette player, WOW 34 years ago and still with the love of my life, good memories and greatest music back then.

Stuart was a literary genius, I donā€™t think he even knew how amazing and totally underrated he really was

I absolutely love Big Country.Ā  They had an honesty and unpretentious sound that stands any test of time. Saw loads of bands in the eighties and Big Country were definitely the best live act IĀ saw

I was lucky enough to have just turned 16 when this song came out. The perfect age to experience it for the first time. That sense of excitement and yearning for adventure...young love...hormones coursing through my veins. I loved this song then, now (2022) and forever. God Bless you, Stuart. I hope you've found the peace you so well deserve.

ā˜˜ļø Whoever said the 80s were the worst decade for music, mustn't have been born for a few decades after.

My dad used to have the big country album on cassette in the car - this song in particular just reminds me of those long summer car journeys as a child ā¤

Was a fan of Stuart way back when he was a member of the Skids. Can feel his heartfelt emotions in his lyrics. Stuart left far more than a legacy in music, he left hope for all. RIP Stuart, gone but never forgotten
