I'm Muslim from Indonesia, since childhood I have been educated about Islamic culture by understanding the meaning and even memorize several surahs in the Qur'an and learning how to pronounce it in Arabic, word by word. It's already become our daily common, following what right and stay away from what is wrong, and keep praying everyday ask something from Allah.

The Qur'an is just 604 pages and memorising it depends on the person's memory but, it is easy to memorize the Qur'an if you just try to memorize 1 or even a half page daily, it will take like 2 to 3 years but you have to constantly read and continue the process of memorizing then you will be able to memories the whole Qur'an❤️👍

I was raised in NYC and left Islam and all religion whe. I was 17. I wanted to study a f figure out if any of this stuff was real on my own. I'm 39 now but honestly after traveling to 30 plus countries, backpacking and asking everyone I came across their views. I came to the conclusion Islam is the closest to the truth. It's the most basic religion, easy to follow and for all of mankind from beginning to end.

Millions of non-Arabs memorize, recite, and read the Quran without even knowing the Arabic language. I'm not an Arab myself but still know how to read, write and recite the Quran and trust me I am not special, like I said millions of non-Arabic speakers know this too. Islam is actually really simple, you will find that 90% of the life style is logical and rules that come natural to most people.
My mom used to say that Americans are Muslims without Islam, and as I grew up that appeared to be very true.

Islamic calligraphy and architecture are very beautiful, many masjids i've seen had such beautiul details put into them. Islamic calligraphy is also a work of art. I speak arabic myself and yet my handwriting is the slopiest thing i've ever seen, meanwhile actual native speakers (such as my family) have the best handwriting i've ever seen. (I can't say the same for English lol-)

Qura'n is around 500 pages depending on the font. If you ever feel down and as if the world is closing up on you, take a shower and read a good translation of it, just open it on any page and start reading, it's not in chronicle order, may Allah (Az wa Jal) guide us all.
