I think you forgot the part where Link getting accustomed to the powerful Sheikah Slate by stacking minecarts together, launching leftover Guardians to the sky, or stopping time indefinitely by recalling his memories over and over. Also his driving license test was a really tough one. And who could forget his perilous journey collecting the poops of tree spirits all over Hyrule?

I'm a newer Zelda fan (BotW was my first Zelda game) I will be playing the game on our TV and my dad would watch me play. He had Zelda for the NES when he was a kid. It's amazing how two separate games can bring the past and future fans closer together.
Edit: After BotW i played OoT (3DS), Majoras Mask (3DS), Skyward Sword (both wii and switch), Twilight Princess, and Links Awakening (switch)

those first couple piano chords and notes have never hit me so hard as they just did, only 6 days before the beginning of a whole new arch. Whoever said that nostalgia can't be re-created, mf it just happened and it felt just as real as hearing the music from Pallet Town years later, and it didn't have to be from a long lost childhood.
Get ready friends because TOTK is about to create memories for which we will all feel such melancholy in just a few years :')
I love you guys, because the game is only half the fun. The sense of community and group excitement is the other half <3

Breath of the Wild helped me through tough times when I was still stuck at home after the pandemic lockdowns, unable to go out hiking. I didn't think it was possible to feel anything close to the same sense of exploration and adventure from playing a game until I played Breath of the Wild. I almost felt like I was in Scotland's various wildernesses and islands. Thanks to my love of the Hebrides, I had a special attraction to wandering along the coast early on in my playtime.
Great recap!
