Just from the art, vibe, and story, I think SA1 looks cooler than SA2! I love the characters in SA2, but SA1 just has some special charm :3 loving this series! Keep up the great work!

Once I get my Wii re-hooked up I will be starting my collection of Game Cube Games. Looks like this one will be a blast to play! The Amusement park level looks crazy awesome! What sold me was the Amy Rose story, that whole game sequence looks right up my style of game play, so I will definitely be adding this one to my collection. As Always, Thanks for the Retro Break!

If I can remember, Big's story is the only one I didn't complete. I believe I struggled at the "iced" area you showed and never went back

Aside from playing demos for Sonic Adventure at stores I actually played Adventure 2 first because that just came out when I finally got a Dreamcast.
That said, I love both games so much. The VMU stuff is cool, but the batteries never last very long and it was hard to come by the batteries they required back then, especially if you're a kid and at the mercy of where your parents are willing to drive you for just a battery.

I love the Adventure series. I really don't understand why Sega decided to move away from this format. Wish they would make another one. A true one, not a spiritual successor or any of that. A true one with intertwining stories and the return of the Chao Garden.

Pinball is a trap, on Sonic you just lose pinball with < 100 rings and fall into the sewer. There’s more than enough rings down there if you don’t get hit.

I definitely remember being blown away when I saw Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast imported in one of the local video game shops. I think it really was the first time I genuinely thought that 3D graphics had reached a level of detail, sharpness and clarity that actually looked "good" for real. The Saturn, N64 and PlayStation always looked a little rough and chunky, but this felt like a true generational leap compared to what had come before. I can't recall any generation since that has impressed me as much as Sonic and the Dreamcast did back then.
