From the thumbnail pic I thought this TV was being held hostage

I’d gladly watch a video of Shango simply reacting to commercials/infomercials.

If the chassis survived in production until 1975-76, I’d guess this colonial cabinet with liberty bell grille was a bicentennial promotion.

Hello from Poland Shango066, I have been a fan for 10 plus years. This is by far the best vintage tv repair channel on YouTube. Take care brother

As a UK viewer, I can't believe how you guys are bombarded by health care vids. But back to your skills, perfect 👍

12:24 i don't watch TV either... Only time i see TV is when i go out to a bar or to a friend or family members house, i laugh at the sheer quantity of pharmaceutical advertising. Funny how we went from cigarette ads being bad, to 5 pill or injection ads in a single commercial break.

That is cool. Never seen one before. For those who want to be 'up town' but can't afford a full size console. Sweet little TV.

I remember working on sets when the module design began to be the standard. The thumbnail image suggested you were on a college campus somewhere.

My dad had this same TV, I remember playing with it as a little kid. It it stopped working and sat in the closet till my parents moved. Wish I still had it, would have been a great project to try and get it working. My dad used to say the same thing. It was a demo model for stores windows, I always though that didn't sound right.

The circuit board warping is common to these sets. Found a few places to fix, then shoved a dense piece of foam under the middle to keep it from sagging upon reassembly. I've now owned three of them, just to keep the original one gifted-to-me "alive." Aside from the warping, the solid-state boards that plug in to the main board went into small plastic forms which would separate at one end and keep the vertically-positioned boards from making contact. I keep one on display with a ROKU/modulator. fun to watch old shows on it! You should ENJOY this little gem!

My family had the enlarged version of that one back in the early 70’s; it lasted until the late 80’s.

Wouldn’t be a shango video without crepe erase! And this is ULTRA. WOW.

it's so weird to me that they were still using tubes in the 70s in TVs. I remember we had an old 70s RCA tv in the 80s and I remember looking in the back and seeing tubes in that.

Reminds me of a Baldwin HT2 organ with the wood and patterned grill. Awesome pic! "Nice joule lines Nancy, but how can you afford a facelift?" " It's Plexiderm Judy, I only look rich!"

Amazing that the world didn't fall apart in 1970 when we didn't have crap erase
