This scene hit me so much harder once I realized that in the first Thor and Avengers movies, he believed that Odin only took him as a bargaining chip to use against the frost giants and only now does he see that Odin, Freya, and Thor truly did love him. He was always their family and was always loved.

0:58 I get why Loki looked at Odin like that, he said "sons" meaning he accepted Loki as his son though not being his son.

I've seen a couple of complaints about how this version of Loki becomes "good" too quickly in the series, but think about this : no other character in the entire MC universe has had an opportunity like this to literally fast forward and view their direct future. How can he not change on the spot, when he see's how much misery his actions cause and how it all ultimately leads to his death?

This scene is so tragic, to have Loki always think about how it was his birth right to be king and how he's filled with glorious purpose, to then be reminded that the happiest he'd been is getting acknowledged by his loved ones when he didn't see the full value of it, only to then see that he dies still thinking about the idea of being a God/King but achieving nothing. Really sets up his arch for getting a throne and glorious purpose by valuing the people who connect with him rather than seeking the throne.

This is when I knew this series was going to be special. The emotion this scene carries and Tom Hiddlestonâs acting really makes you feel for Loki. I love this show!
