In this week's episode of Rap Life Review, Nadeska, Lowkey, and Eddie dive into the hottest new music from Yeat, Gunna, and more.

The group dives into the rumors about Ye dropping a new project after ‘VULTURES 1’ and comments from last week about Lowkey's attitude towards Ye. They then react to the recent news that a country music radio station refused to play Beyoncé’s new song from her forthcoming country album. The discussion then shifts to Benzino’s recent breakdown when asked about beef with Eminem on Drink Champs, before touching on Vince Staples' new show, ’The Vince Staples Show’.

Eddie was 10000000% correct and it was absolutely necessary to go that deep on the country music history. Low was being extremely arrogant and annoying and WRONG!!‼️‼️ Tell Low not come back until he's off his period!!

As a label rep who works closely with various major monitored stations, I can one billions percent confirm that no, program directors do not typically engage in conversation with listeners about songs in rotation. A host or personality may do so, but even still, it is unusual.

(On Benzino) I’m 24, a lot of older people don’t realize how addicted they are to social media. Everyone needs therapy and awareness of how they’re really impacted by social media. People benzinos age especially need this and don’t have it. And it shows:( He said some things about the shade room.. he’s clearly online a lot and it is impacting him. People his age may not recognize people are different on social media, they lack empathy. Its not the real world. It’s just sad to see. Wish he understood these things about online, would really help him.

Tbh I was definitely feeling like Lowkey about the Beyonce situation, but once Eddie talked about his experience working at radio stations, it made it clear. There is room for both approaches, and each is right in its own way. If Ebro was there, he would have clarified that point correctly

I genuinely don’t think he knew bc the song wasn’t serviced yet and he probably doesn’t pay attention to Beyonce since she’s not a country artist, she’s not in his world. BUT we also can’t ignore the racism in country music and how hard it is for black ppl to break into that genre. So two things can be true. I feel what he’s saying that we need to gatekeep more in our culture. Black ppl really are not that hateful. We are a loving ppl. We are not like them.

Love that Eddie came with receipts. Lowkey needs to go that deep especially in the face of the "marking territory like a dog" comment

I get what Low was doing, he was just giving that radio director the benefit of the doubt cuz you never you really know. All in all this was a great episode lmao
