Iβm deeply in love with this song, lyrics are full of sense, and the greatest part of Brianβs art is that everybody understands his songs in their own way.
Brian is also a great poet, you can just read his songs as a poems, because there are a lot of rhyme in them.

Another love I would abuseβ

Thanks for taking us back to the 90's for 3:45 minutes.

Great video. Really enhances the song. The song is about deception. I take it as meaning we play games and try to seduce ourselves/each other using other people's personas which we adopt as our own (Brian playing cards against himself in the Gemini club - zodiac sign depicted by twins) In doing so we seem to become the other person, but it is only a simulacrum (Brian's apparent clone is captured and demasked to reveal a black woman - black to make the point more starkly?)
There are others (society/media?) trying to demask the fake, 'cheating' version of us (the gambling club depicts this because it has the members under surveillance for potential cheaters and the members are metaphorically making bets that they won't be caught out).
Ultimately, the fake versions of ourselves are injured (man with beard helped to walk after Brian walks past someone who looks identical) or found out (one of the other members is scanned) or captured (Brian's double is driven away in the police car right at the end) Note: Double chromosome 'XX' on the car door. XX is female. (The fake version of Brian being female - in reality he is biologically male) Also the fact that the harshest treatment is reserved for Brian's double (being taken away by police - possible reference to society being against non-binary gender)
