"Savvy Operator" sounds like Jericho's next persona. With wrestling you have the build up and the match, if one of those is great it works, if both are solid it is incredible, if both are mediocre it is horrible. The best thing for Jericho right now would be to go do a Fozzy tour for the summer come back in October.

If fans are booing him, Jericho is smart enough to work them, and go full hot heel. Modern fans don't know what it was like back in the 80s and previous decades where fans legit hated the heels. Now they sing the heel's songs when they come to the ring. I hope Jericho works these smarks into a frenzy.

Your feeling about Jericho is how I feel about Moxley. Instead of just taking time away, he's working other random shows and never really goes away. And when he's there he basically always beats his opponents in ways that don't put them over. Just last week he alone murked Hobbs, Takeshita, and Fletcher in a post match save. Literally anyone else is getting beaten down by any 2 of them.

Jericho is the only guy still wrestling from the original WCW, and has been WWE and AEW champion. Hes revamped his persona for decades, and will probably do it again one day. Right now its not good, but i wouldnt count him out just yet.

People wanna say it's working because the crowd is giving him "heel heat".
The crowd chanting "Go home" & Please retire" isn't because he's a good Heel, it's because he fucking sucks & dosen't want to see or hear him ANYWHERE in the ring. Dominik Mysterio & heel like him that get HUGE heat don't usually have crowd chanting for them to retire. Past & recent controversies of him being a shitty person definitely didn't help. Along with the subpar to terrible wrestle that people for some reason are looking for guidance.

I think the JAS parodying Sports Entertainment would have been more impactful if it had been all ex WWE stable members and it would have been like that was the style they was bringing in.
