Honestly this song hits hard.... first 27 years didn't know who the fuck I was... multiple suicide attempts... severe addiction to stimulants for years... finally 10 months sober and this is the most I've known myself, and the best I've been mentally. I'm going to be going to College soon for something I'm truly fucking passionate about, Addictions and Social Work. Anyone who says I can't or won't I'll just say Fuck That. My best friend died earlier this year. She always would say “baby girl, don’t worry, things are going to get better. We aren’t always going to be held down by this life, by this matrix.” - Losing her to drugs devastated me, but it made me realize, I have to continue living this life, for me, for us.
