This song came out the night that I had come back from the mental hospital. Just half an hour before, my entire friend group left me because I had attempted to opt out. They saw me as a different man, they saw me as a person willing to take things too far. None of them, and I mean none of them were willing to accept that about me. Every time I listen to this song I get a certain bittersweet feeling because I of course have new friends and whatnot- but that line that goes, "once he had it all but it slipped out of his hands," just hits me a different way.
