Lyrics:
All the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don′t look at their faces
And you don't ask their names
You don′t think of them as human
You don't think of them at all
You keep your mind on the money
Keeping your eyes on the wall

I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
I′ll do what you want me to do
I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do

I want to make a million dollars
I want to live out by the sea
Have a husband and some children
Yeah, I guess I want a family

All the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don't look at their faces
And you don′t ask their names

I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
I′ll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do
I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do

Deutch marks or dollars
American Express will do nicely, thank you
Let me loosen up your collar
Tell me, do you want to see me do the shimmy again?

I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
I′ll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do

All the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don′t look at their faces
And you don't ask their names
You don′t think of them as human
You don't think of them at all
You keep your mind on the money
Keeping your eyes on the wall

I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do

I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
I′ll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do

I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
I′m your private dancer, a dancer for money
Just a private dancer, a dancer for money

I'm so sad. Tina we love you. An amazing woman who was rejected by her parents, picked cotton, one of her sisters died with her cousin in a car crash, decades of abuse with Ike, left without a penny and became a superstar. Tina you will never be forgetten ever we love you RIP my love !!

Mark Knopfler wrote this wonderful song. Tina is on the record saying Mark's own unreleased version is beautiful. Mark gifted the song to Tina and she absolutely made it her own. Would have been great to see them do it as a duet. Vale Annie Mae Bullock a.k.a. Tina Turner. R.I.P. Queen!

One of her best songs. Shows the full range of her voice and the emotion she can put into a song. Rest in peace, Tina.

The slow intro of the song. Is so iconic. Its filled with so much melancholy and sadness. And Tina's voice was tailor made for this song. Up there with my favorite songs of all time. R. I. P. TINA.

This has to be my absolute favourite song from this lady. Every time I hear it, it transports me back to the 80's. Heard she passed away, sad news for the music industry, she was an icon. God Bless Her... RIP Tina 🙏❤️🎵🎶

This was a must watch video for me back in 1984 every time it played on MTV!! I was mesmerized by this woman and how she reinvented herself during this era. It was like a whole new person emerged!! She was a phenomenon to behold!!

People don't realize I think just exactly how creative and talented and ambitious that this girl was. She did her own makeup and she made her own wigs and she styled her own self completely. She COMPLETELY developed the Tina Turner persona by herself. She was amazing,a queen 👑,a legendary artist

I'll never forget her 80's comeback. Hair out to there, legs up to her neck. Beautiful and powerful. The classic Phoenix rising from the ashes. Rest in paradise Tina! Thank you for the music and the memories!

RIP to the ultimate diva who not only took back her life, her name, & her career, but also taught us females that just because you are over 50, it doesn't mean that your life is over. That it is the exact opposite. That being over 50 gives you the ability to reinvent yourself & to start over. RIP Tina! You most definitely lived a life & inspired so many more.

This woman gave her life for her liberty. She was beaten and disrespected. Yet she rose from terrible pain and is a beacon for women. That no matter what and where you come from that you are valuable to this life and that you mean something to this universe. Rainy day thoughts.

I am currently 41 years old. My cousin told me that when I was 6 years old I had this song memorized word for word, and I would belt it out whenever it would come on the radio. I was a big Tina Turner Fan.
