I owned a 30GB Zune and used it daily. The Zune HD was where it was at though, I always loved the interface and want Microsoft to have a 3rd party music app using that interface.

I still have a Zune HD around here and it's the BEST.
I started with a normal Zune, 30GB I think. It was my first digital music player. I was using CDs or my PSP until I got it for Christmas one year. It was life changing.

I’m sure there has to be SOME way to get the Zune to work. There’s always a community for things like this. Even if it’s running a separate Open Source Firmware like Rockbox.
I had an iRiver iHP-120 that was SO chunky and durable. Basically a laptop HDD with an MP3 player and battery built around it as the case. Loved that thing and put Rockbox on it a few times. Since it doubled as an external HDD it was perfect for all my video production and graphic design classes in college.

I still own my 2nd Generation ZUNE 80gb. It was so much better made than the original version. Still works but barely holds a charge anymore. Tempted to order a replacement battery that I found on Amazon. But I don't use it anyway.

So I have the Zune HD and with some work put in with installing packages and drivers directly from people that preserved those files, you can activate the software and troubleshooter on Windows 10 pro to get anything straightened out to use your Zune again ^.^ I use it as my D&D ambient/boss music player lol

I still own and occasionally pull out my Zune hd. The touch screen one. It took me over 3 hours of troubleshooting to get Zune software to work on my windows 10 pc.

As a zombies fan, loved the little music cues with that old broken doll for the mystery box moving. I even heard the "Bye Bye" in my head lol. *Edit, and then there's the "Bye Bye", watching it at the same time as commenting. 2nd edit, even got the zombie sounds in it, awesome, cod zombie fan approved lol.
