It may just be my own personal interpretation, but I love the moment where the „doll“ who was seemingly programmed to attack Bella happened to stumble upon what is happening in the world outside what is essentially an echo chamber, locked in a box and unable to see the violence and prejudice being performed against her own kind, and she truly opened her eyes, now understanding Bella‘s anger and courage to fight back against those above.
It feels so similar to people who grew up the way I did, with conservative Christian parents who pressed the beliefs that women should be the way men want us to be, and I was so heavily anti—feminist up until I turned maybe 14? Cause i had just been raised my whole life to believe that feminism is dumb and unnecessary, when in reality, as soon as i began to crack out of my parents shell of beliefs, my eyes have opened so wide to the problems we face as women and i now fully understand the anger and frustration of all the feminists I used to look down upon when I was young.
Love the song, love the music video, love the messaging behind both!
