I upgraded to the iPhone 15 pro today, coming from an iPhone 12 and honestly. Itās not so bad, Iām actually really liking it so far I love the bezels I love how nice the screen looks, I love the camera it looks great with the beautiful cinematic mode on video recording and the brand new little bar for notifications on the top still excited to see what other features this new phone is hiding but for one full day of use got to say Iām pleased and satisfied with my upgraded.

Watching this video from my iPhone 11, doing research into whether I should upgrade to the 15 or the 15 Proā¦ The fact that you held up the iPhone 11 next to the 15 Pro as a comparison was such a nice coincidence!
Everyone always compares new phones with the most recent previous generation, which is always so unhelpful. (Your point about upgrading every year is so true!)

I went iPhone 15 pro from S22 max.
After a month:
Battery seems better than I was getting with my S22 Ultra. I was expecting it to be worse but it has easily outperformed it. Iām not playing games. Primarily browser, audio, YouTube and camera.
I do not miss the larger screen.
I do NOT miss the fingerprint reader. Face ID is excellent and it allows me to use a glass screen protector.
It is always smooth and apps like both the ones I use for my 2 cars (VW and ford for a Mach E) definitely work better and more consistently.
Iām impressed.

Writing this as I sit in my vehicle typing on my new iPhone 15 Pro Max I just bought. Iām coming from an 11 Pro Max that Iāve had since it came out. Everything you said and your main point overall is extremely spot on. I think people have oversight at times on trying to justify buying a new phone each year but that was never really practical anyway. Truth is when I get an Apple product itās an investment and something I plan to keep for a 3-4 year period. My point is coming from and 11 pro max this 15 feels light years ahead. From the smaller ānotchā to the overall āfeelā IFYKYK

I think it would be really cool to see a comparison between the new 15s and older phones like the 10 and 11 to appeal to those who may actually be looking to upgrade and also to see how apples small improvements over the years have added up.

I havenāt updated iPhones in years. I always felt Appleās āupgradesā over the years were incremental at best. So, I just held on to my iPhone XS Max since 2019 and I upgraded to the iPhone 15 Pro Max yesterday. Now I feel like Iām Captain America standing in the middle of Times Square after being sleep for 70 years with this phone.
Also, thank you, Apple, for NOT telling me that I needed to purchase the Thunderbolt 4 Pro Cable when I picked up my phone yesterday. Because why get everything I need with my phone when I pick it up the first time when I can just make multiple trips? šš½
