For me this song is about surviving an abusive relationship, but lines such as 'i really thought id lost you' being about how you lose yourself in the process of the abuse, but when you've survived, you find yourself all over again. 'i drew curtains closed drank my poison all alone' describes how you bottle it all up, keep it all to yourself, cos you don't want anyone else to be burdened by it.. 'there's no morning glory it was war it wasn't fair' that is how even when you've healed you never get that glory sense because of what you went through there's no calm after the storm because the storm happened in the first place.

this song just shows my feelings to a bestfriend my mom has had 15 years and her daughter was also my bestfriend. we lost both of them starting a business together and they removed us completely from the business without my mom or i knowing and basically ended our friendship. that business rlly was more important to them than us. we thought theyd be our friends and just like a family to us forever. its been hard on me for so long. i hope nobody else goes through this.
