It's April 15th 2024. I'm leaving this here as a message to anyone who reads this. Cherish all the important people in your lives. We never know when their clocks will end. Some live longer than others. Most Importantly cherish your loved ones. Today marks the final chapter of someone important to me. I'm tired of everyone dying. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones.

My little brother was 36 years old when he decided to stop the dialysis he had been on for 2 years, while waiting for a kidney. None of us brothers and sisters were even allowed to be tested to be a donor because more than half of us were also diabetic, and it was just a matter of time before the other half would be too. So we took him home. All he would do was listen to Niel Young music. By the 3rd day of him being home he began to slip into a coma. I was so burnt out just listening to these songs over and over, so I decided to change the CD. All of a sudden my brother says
"Turn that back on" omg I didn't even know he was still aware of what was going on around him. So I put it back on. His absolute favorite song was Heart of Gold. My brother passed away that day as Niel Young sang his favorite songs. At his funeral we had " Heart of Gold" as the theme. A giant gold heart made of flowers was laid upon his coffin, and as they lowered him into the ground Heart of Gold was playing in the background. My little brother did have a Heart of Gold. If he thought there was even an iota of a chance for him to get that kidney I know he would have held on longer. Nothing worked to ease his pain. He had eye surgery two different times because he had lost his vision. Being diabetic since he was 11years old had ruined all his other organs by the time he was 25. So he said he was done, couldn't do it anymore. He was tired ,and tired of being tired . At that point he wasn't even living anymore, just existing day to day. In closing I'd like to say
thank you to
Mr.Young for the gift of awesome music. Your music was the last thing he heard and the last words he ever spoke was him telling me to
" turn that back on".
I miss you baby brother,
Rest in Peace with your big ol HEART OF GOLD!!

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean
for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind,
it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keep me searching
for a heart of gold
You keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold

I'm putting together a collection of my favorite songs from 1972. When I was 16 I got an old junk car from a farmer that was abandoned in his field. It was a 58 Impala rag top, I fixed it up, installed an 8track player in it, bought 'Top Hits Of 72' and thus began the greatest year of my life! To this day the music of 72 has remained my favorite music ever!

This song really brings me back to when I could listen to Neil Young on Spotify…
