Tip: If you want to pet cats, be calm, gentle, and approach them slowly. Don’t make fast movements, make slow ones. Also, cats’ bellies, are more sensitive there. They don’t show you their belly as a trap, but because they trust you. Also, cats do return affection, just in different ways than dogs. They might hunt an animal, and bring them to you, if they move their tail slowly, from side, to side, that means they like you,(but if they do that, but fast, that means they’re agitated,) and rubbing up against you legs, is also a sign of affection, kneading, which is where they sort of extend their paws, and claws/nails, is also a sign of affection, and-of course-purring. Meowing means they want your attention, or they need something. However, not all of the time, they purr to show affection. If they’re injured, and they’re purring, that means they’re healing, because purring, actually does help the healing, a bit. They can also sense when humans are sad, so they might come to comfort you, if you’re sad. And, if they do something wrong, they don’t feel guilt, but they are able to see that you are angry at them, so they’ll try to comfort you, as a way of saying sorry.
