Here's my story: I needed to get my tonsils and adnoids removed. Easy. Or so I thought. 1 week before surgery, I was panicking. I keep asking my mom about her anesthesia (I think) stories. She'd always comfort me. The day before I couldn't eat past 3 pm-ish. You already guessed, I ate as much as possible before them. The day of, we leave at 9:00 to get there at 9:30. I was out into comfy pajamas (covers my "parts"), and led to a room without my parents, but with my baby blanket. I squeezed that thing the whole time. They put the anesthesia breathing math thing on my face, and it took what felt like hours to work, most likely because I was fighting it. You'd think you'd dream as socks said, but no. When you wake up, your in a daze. I can remember waking up and looking at the water next to me, drinking it, then saying "ow.". I had to be wheeled out in a wheelchair. They put me in my car and my throat hurt horribly. For 2 days I was on a ice cream diet, for 5 days soft foods, 3 days no seasoned food, then back to normal. It was horrible. Sometimes my throat becomes sore from the probably scar of where my tonsils would be. Pt 2 with more details at 20 likes! Edit: 50 LIKES IN 13 HOURS? mk so here's more details as promised. I was 8 turning 9, and when I woke up I had my parents to my right and a water cup on my left, and I was immediately told, "drink the water" like gurl, I just woke up- anyways, it felt nice on my throat to have water. Part 3 even more detail at 150 cause were getting more personal 😅
