Hey Calvin i have 4 things you should know and do:
1)The Steve dweller most likely spawns in caves and when you hear footsteps or breaking blocks while you are in a cave that indicates that he's nearby.
2)The fire around your bed might have been from the lava inside your wall.
3)You should put glass around your door to the mine so you can see everything that is in there.
4)If you kill the Man from the fog he can drop a Tear of the man which when you hold it you get Speed 2 and Night Vision 2 for unlimited amount of time.
