The ronroco is a musical instrument from Bolivia, from the charango family, measuring approximately 80 cm in total length[1] and with a vibrating string of up to 50 cm. This instrument is characterized by its hoarse sound, and for this reason it has that name. It is an instrument called de nueva tessitura whose dimensions are between the "type charango" and the "large medium", the latter with dimensions like those of a guitar (Cavour, 2003). Its creation is attributed to the Hermosa brothers (Gonzalo and Wilson) in the search for an intermediate sound in the accompaniment of string instruments within their Bolivian folkloric group Los Kjarkas to somehow compensate for the heights of the high-pitched sounds of the type charango and the bass of the guitar (and in principle replace it, which fortunately did not happen). Based on the devil tempera, its tuning is characteristic for having the 2nd strings octave up and 4th and 5th strings with one octave down and the other up in each pair.
