All of Neil Diamond songs are great, but this one is one of my favorite, it's too bad we don't have singer's like Neil no more.

This is my very favorite song of Neil's entire career. The first song I learned was Song, Sung Blue. Last year of Girl Scouts' was spent traveling to D.C., Maryland, Virginia. At night, 2 of us shared an amazing room, with a door and another exterior door with levers, to bring in fresh air. Funny the things we remember. I would sing to a bunch of the others, in my room, before we had to go to bed. Song Sung Blue was a hit that summer. The song stayed with me, as well as the room and the other scouts. We had more fun singing than the rest of that trip. After graduating H.S. I moved to California. Started my career in medicine at 18. My time at home was study and endless hours of Neil Diamond. His albums lined my bedroom. Life could not be sweeter. Then, years later, I saw Neil in concert at the Forum about 5 times. This little girl from Chicago could never imagine the life that was ahead of her. Thank you Lord for an amazing life. I am all yours now. I study Theology and could not be happier than a pig in mud. Neil, you were in a very large part of my life. Your Welcome! π©·π©·

I was raised on Neil Diamond. My mother had to be his biggest fan on the planet. Shes gone now, but lives on in my heart through his music. When Neil passes, the other half of my heart will die. He is the last piece of my mom that I have. I have seen him many times and only wish I could tell him how much he means to my life. β€
