Hi. I just wanted to pop in and say that this is really well done. As somebody who's spent considerable time and energy studying the fine-grain structure of this particular art labyrinth (and the internet's reaction to it), I can honestly say this is one of the deeper interpretations I've seen. Which is encouraging! In my humble opinion, probably the best way to combat the infinite doom meta where communication is reduced to uniform, bite-sized, algorithm-justified, economic-ad-absurdum, little video clips untethered to sincerity or genuine emotion of any kind must be thought-provoking, sincerity-driven art (and, by extension, the more thought-provoking, sincerity-driven discussion it generates). Everything I've seen would indicate that both Inside and The Inside Outtakes have had (and continue to have!) a profoundly positive impact on our collective narrative--drawing attention to important problems, articulating hard-to-quantify distinctions, modeling human values, providing an appealing substrate for healthier versions of these neurochemical compulsions we're driven to engage in--which... that's valuable. Of COURSE we feel moved by it, right? That makes perfect, rational sense. And, after eons of intensive research (in internet years) into the whys and hows, I am left with the feeling that the common denominator of what we're responding so strongly to is, well... hope. Not the aggro sort of hope that screams, ":D :D :D HELLO; HELLO, HUMAN; EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY!!!!! :D :D :D" No, no. This is honest hope. Painful hope. The kind of hope that respects its audience enough to take beneficial risks. A rare sensation in the competitive fray. And that's a meaningful contrast. Anyway, as should now be obvious, I deeply, deeply respect the direction Bo seems to be leading the conversation, and, for whatever it's worth, I believe he's helping--and tangibly--pave the way for a deeper, more meaningful digital space by giving us deeper, more meaningful art to obsessively analyze; a deeper parasocial target; provoking a deeper range of emotions; just... depth in general. Thanks, Bo! Thanks, America! Thus concludes my seminar. 🥳✌🛻 P.S. Seriously, though: good job!
