In 1986, the world came crumbling down around Fritz Von Erich’s World Class Championship Wrestling empire. Although the federation remained active, this crucial year was the blow they never recovered from. They lost talent, their association with the NWA, and their booker Ken Mantell.

We now hop in the Guest Booker time machine and reinstate former WCCW booker Gary Hart in the driver’s seat. Under his direction, can WCCW be saved?

Join us for this exploration of the mind of the late, great booker, Gary Hart. Gary’s talents are as remarkable as his tales from the road, all explored in this his final DVD. We are proud to enshrine Gary into the Guest Booker family.

Sean, this is the best Guest Booker of them all. Gary Hart was a college professor here in this interview teaching a class on how to book in wrestling. Why did the WWF never use Gary he is such a wealth of knowledge. RIP Gary Hart!

I have this. Gary Hart makes booking seem effortless. He has a very logical approach and the examples he uses are very insightful. A shitty booker can put feuds together but usually end up burying the talent in the long term. Gary shows how you can build up people and take others down, then build them back up again. He is keeping everyone doing something whether winning or losing and knows who can lose and not get buried. It’s like watching a juggling act.

Thanks so much for making these two interviews with Gary Hart. Probably my favorite wrestling mind to just listen to.

“Build a dragon and let the good guy slay it.” Man, Playboy Gary really was wrestling genius. Wish he was still around to help book wrestling today.

Agree that’s he’s without question on the Mt Rushmore of managers. He had a stable of heels with zero promo skills and got them ultimate heat. Also no screaming in his promos, just conveyed fear and evil. RIP to the Playboy
