This was why when they did Taker vs Hulk in the 2000s and Hulk took that terrible chokeslam. Taker was like "You wanna do this right kid?" and Hulk still sand bagged him. Taker always held resentment against Hulk after the Tombstone lie, and he never let it go. Which I wouldn't either. Fuck Hulk Hogan lol

Undertaker recently talked about this on his podcast.
Hogan had been saying to undertaker several times before match to be careful about my neck and in the ring as soon as Indertaker did the spot, Hogan said âoh you got me!â And was already acting like his neck was
Injured from the move.
When Undertkaer went to the back he found Hogan laying down in Vinceâs office behaving like his neck was completely damaged.
Undertake was told by several people backstage that Hogan never hit the floor and that they had watched it themselves and to not trust Hogan.
Undertaker wanted to believe Hogan and at first totally ignores those who said he fakes being hurt to Vince.
Undertaker did watch the video and did approach Hogan who at first acted like he got hurt when he hit the floor. Undertaker told Hogan he never hit the floor to which Higan then change it to it being Undertakers fault that he held him too snug and it jarred his neck ina way and the neck already was hurt before. Undertaker never trusted Higan after that event

Correction, it wasnât years and years later. Taker saw the footage by the time they had the rematch about a week later, and Hogan backpedaled with more of his bullshit saying that Taker âheld him too tightâ in trying to protect him after Hogan went on and on asking Taker to protect his neck.
Hogan felt threatened by Takerâs quick popularity and he tried to sabotage his career with this âuh, you got me brotherâ neck injury act.

I remember the build up to Wrestlemania 3, Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant.
They pulled crap in that building up that you could never get away with these days in the age of the internet and Google and where all of these pro wrestling personalities, past and present, all had podcasts.
They told us that in 20 years Andre the Giant had never been defeated and that he had never left his feet. They presented it as if Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan had never faced one another before.
Of course, none of that was true. Andre had left his feet many times. Andre had been slammed many times, including by Hulk Hogan in previous matches. And before Andre had started wrestling for Vince McMahon Sr. he had actually lost matches earlier in his career.
I didn't know at the time, and I presume most people watching the build-up to Wrestlemania 3 and who watched Hogan vs. Andre, at the time, probably didn't know either. It was a lot easier to be a dumb naive fan in those days.
Part of me thinks Terry Bolea still is more or less stuck in that Wrestlemania 3 promotional mindset that allows for a certain degree of exaggeration and a certain degree of bullshit.
I guess it has yet to dawn on Terry Bolea that you can't pull those same kinds of tricks in the age of the internet that you might have pulled in 1987? But, either way I still love the Hulkster.

Taker talks about this on his podcast just recently. He felt horrible for a few days but i guess at some tuesday event he was sure he was going to lose the belt for âkilling the golden gooseâ. He saw the tape back then. Had words with hulk and was like âi know all i need to know about this guyâ. It didnât last years. It sounds like vince and shane knew from the start he was full of shit.

Hogan claims to have introduced Mark Calaway to Vince who he says declared, on the spot, âIâm going to call you Undertakerâ. Hogan wasnât sure as it sounded too dark. So maybe he convinced himself he was doing the WWF a favour by preventing Undertaker from becoming champion, but was too much of a bull******r to find an amicable solution.

It wasnât yearsâŚâŚ. Shane McMahon saw the footage and told Taker immediately and said it never hit. Taker saw the same footage. He approached Hogan about it telling him his head wasnât near the mat and Hogan said âbrother you were holding me too tightââŚâŚ. Thatâs when Taker found out who Hogan really was
