This song is so powerful. It made me cry thinking of war, women, inequality and so on. As a Slovene/Croat I could understand a big part of the song showing how close our languages actually are.

As a Romanian, we are not ethnically part of the slavic family but culturally, historically and geographically we share a lot so this resonated with me and I loved all the clever symbolism, all the details about imperialism, propaganda, unity of slavic "sisters" from an equal footing, respecting and acknowledging each one is unique and independent, all the cultural refrences. This scene at 1:51 always gets me. I believe that the two members of Vesna are portraying two slavic countries here: Slovakia (girl on the wooden horse) and Czechia (with the crown). The peace of the two small countries are creepily interrupted by those tv-dudes invading their space and selling something that the two girls are definitely mesmerised by. 🇸🇰
