I really can't comprehend how any convention could allow AI art at this point. Like, how could they look in the eye the legitimate artists they're charging $300+ for these tables and place them next to a booth that's 1. built off art theft, 2. undercutting the accepted prices in the alley at large (prices that have been universally adopted, more or less, to remove that aspect of competition via mutual agreement), and 3. built off art from the very artists in the alley itself!!! Absolute madness, seriously!
So many great points throughout this video. Something to touch on as well is that a lot of these AI programs are now charging money for usage. Someone in a discord I was in recently bragged about spending $35 to get an AI character piece generated, which is all kinds of messed up. Having these programs available for free doesn't improve the situation at all, but there's something so insidious about charging a person for art that you've ripped off from specific artists based on what keywords you choose to use. I feel so bad for deceased artists who are being so disrespected by all of this. It raises so many existential and philosophical questions about our worth and our craft when it can be divorced from us so easily by a program and the vultures operating them.

There's a lot of fear and ignorance on how ai works. Nevermind an original image is created while the original public sourced image is destroyed after its taken hours and days to learn from reference much like people but at faster rate. Not all artist buy into the fear/hate biased group think. There's a lot of us who r using ai to make us more productive and move smarter.

Actually, if youâre doing an AI comic, youâd simply say youâre the designer and writer. The characters and story are still yours. Also, I did a whole video on doing AI comics, no itâs not a breach of copyright and itâs not just typing, you do design and editing as you canât use the images outright without correcting them. And I donât think anyone said they were better than real artist.
