Really great concert! My wife and I happened to be having dinner at Piazza delle Erbe and started hearing live music. We took a walk up the hill and found the concert venue, plus a soccer pitch with people playing on top of 2000 year old ruins. After a few minutes, my wife realized it was J Mascis, she used to listen to Dinosaur Jr. and used to see him in concert in Philly and Trenton. With the venue nestled within ancient Genoa and the lights of the houses up into the hills, it was just an excellent experience! Right up there with Cinque Terre the next day, and much better than Paris a few days later. If you haven't been to Liguria, you should go!
