Bowie does Velvet Underground and it's brilliant. Hunky Dory is my favourite Bowie album. The songwriting is sublime. I would.put Hunky Dory just ahead of Ziggy Stardust. Bowie was on fire during this period. Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, he also wrote and produced Mott The Hoople debut album. Produced Lou Reed's Transformer with Mick Ronson, and also Raw Power by the Stooges. Definitely his best period. *Sorry, not Mott The Hoople's debut, but it was their first big hit.
