In the early 80s, the gentlemen of WHAM!, George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley, headed to Saas-Fee, Switzerland after Michael had a great idea for a holiday song while watching a football game at home with his family months earlier. It was tough for director Andrew Morahan to shoot in an unheated apartment, but it was worth it. After more than three decades, the song and the video have earned status as pop holiday classics.
