I was born in Ohio in November 1960, moved to Oklahoma in '73 at the age of twelve due to my parents divorcing. My Momma taught me how to be gentle but not to be beaten down. She passed when I was 18. But I remember her always telling that if I fall, I better get right back up. This song has always reminded me of her, she knew she was dying but said nothing till 6 months before she passed.. That lesson has made me strong no matter what I go through. God bless Momma and God bless Oklahoma, my true home.

This is the last song I danced with my daddy a year before he passed away in 2004 then my mom 6 months later! Cowgirls donβt cry ride baby ride! Iβm still that lil girl. It was a 17 hand high black Appaloosa with white spots on her rear. I was 5. Iβve fallen many times and to this day I cry alone. Because Cowgirls DONβT Cry!
