As a youth my grandmother said that we were of Irish descent ent . Years later I had a DNA test done , which showed I was a “ bowl of oats “. Irish , Scottish and some English and Denmark . Regardless of the ethnicity I have always loved the music and the landscape . I guess this helps explain why I love the fair complexion and red hair of ladies I see .

Was never told of my heritage but researching the origins of our name it seems we were from the Aberdeen region and our ancestors or at least namesakes fought with Robert Debruce perhaps this is why this music speaks so deeply to my soul and why the Celtic music is what I listen to every night to escape losing my soulmate to dementia still here in body just gone in memory of our love. Thanks for another great piece to escape into—-hopper

Happy Saint Patrick's day everyone!!!!
Today would of been my parent's 73th. Wedding Anniversary. They were married on Saint Patrick's Day on March 17, 1951.
Like the old Traditional Irish song goes that is very true about my Dad's parents, my grandparents. " The Orange and the Green. "
My Dad's father was Orange and his mother was Green.

I am not of Irish or Scottish descent, but have a very dear friend. Pat, who passed on St Patrick's Day several years ago. All who knew her, felt she "chose" that day. So it is now St Patty's Day rather than Patrick's. I was looking for Celtic music to play in the background and found this video. Thank you for helping me to honor my dear loving, joyful friend, whose nickname was Aunt Happy 💚
