How to position your hands:
Put the thumb of you right hand on the C, your index finger on the D etc until all 5 fingers are on a white key. This will help a lot later in the song where you will encounter higher notes.
For your left hand, put your right thumb on the G, the index finger on the F etc. (this leaves a gap of 2 notes between your hands)
For this piece, this is actually kinda unhandy as you don't play notes that far to the left. It will be better for more complex songs later on, and you might as well get used to having it in the correct position.

The fact I started self teaching myself this morning, nothing was working until I found this video. I think I have nailed it and am so happy. I have no basic piano. Just playing today. My daughter’s keyboard. My brain almost exploded. It is so hard for me but fun anyway. Keep on repeating the beginning almost an hour already. Fuh. Will keep on trying until i get this. I need monthsssssss to graduate this song i guess.
