Thank you Clint, this was so interesting. I loved all the information on the bird and how it can affect The Voice!

Thank you, Cliff. As always, I couldn't make it to the end of the video before I had to grab my flute and start checking out what you are showing us.

An important concept for both beginning and advanced players, well-explained and demonstrated. The differences between makers can be quite dramatic. And, discussing the shape, angle & position of the block was also very clear. I really recommend that intermediate flutists watch this one!

I got so much out of this, thinking of my flutes from many different makers, my breath and the tuning of each.

Great video Clint, I myself recently experienced while playing my flutes in cold weather and trying to synchronize along with my backing tracks. My flutes were out of tune. Going to try and recreate this and adjust my breath and to match the key of my backing track. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences with this. ❤️🙏

Thank you Clint! Something I've known subconsciously for a long time, but it is really helpful to have it explained in your usual clear way. The theory has emerged from my subconscious and has become much easier to apply! John

This is new for me, but coming from years of playing didgeridoo, I can adapt.

I never noticed that. I always hear that you blow more as you go up. Thanks for pointing all this out.

This flute cast confirms what I learned through experience -- that I had to use different breath pressures in the two flutes that I own to bring the notes in tune with themselves...Is there a breath profile for eliminating "breathiness" in the sound of the flutes? Is "breathiness" a topic for another flute cast? :) Thanks for your work, Clint and Vera! :)

Thank You Clint!! I have a low C that I’ve never liked. It always sounded “muddy”, flat with a buzz. After your description of the birds on your Jon Norris flute, I switched my bird around and my flute is now much clearer, almost sweet. The wings or absence of wings really makes a difference. Thanks again 😄

The audio is always great in your videos, Clint. What mic are you using and where is it placed? Also, are you recording the audio into your camera, into a PC or a separate recording device? Thanks in advance!
