Learning this version on acoustic. You don't fully appreciate the skill he has until you try to play this. Can't wait until I have it down. Such a therapeutic song to play and sing during all this chaos of 2020. Helps soothe the soul after losing people to this stupid virus and to get away from social media. What if I had said what I meant, life might of been different. Everything happens for a reason. I'm grateful to be alive. It gets better. I refound this song after breaking up with my girlfriend. Although we didn't date for long, I always thought she was the one. I've had other girls throughout my life, but it never hurt as much as when she left. I was so heartbroken that tears didn't even want to flow, although they didn't flow I just felt it in my heart and thought, "My life is shit as is, but now that she is gone what do I have left." To this day, I pathetically hope that she will return but I know that this won't happen. I was just ranting, sorry for the spam message.

I've been listening to this on repeat for over a day now. Every single word hits home, every chord of the guitar pulls at the strings of my heart. It has been so long, years, maybe a decade? Since the last time I felt feelings like that for someone. Wandering alone in the dark for even the faintest sign of a light or a glow of warmth. Then I found it, and I could finally feel again, I saw the stars & dreamed again and felt invincible, I felt ALIVE. But then it was dark again, the stars were gone and I found myself in the dark again. So dark, not even a shadow to keep you company. If it were under different circumstances I would have fought tooth and nail for that star light to come back, but she has much bigger issues to address right now than a possible love interest. The timing was just bad, even so I am thankful, so thankful that even if for only a short time I could feel again. Remembering how happy I was brings me to tears even now, I had found a long lost piece of myself. Now I wander alone in the dark again for who knows how long. But i'm still so grateful even if for just this pain, I know they say time heals all wounds but I think it's more accurate to say it numbs all wounds. And that's what this dark is, numb, so i'll cling onto this pain for as long as I can before it starts to fade away and I find myself again just completely numb to everything. I felt alive.
