I don't understand parents who do not tell their kids about sexual abuse at a young age. I was telling my daughter about the stuff the moment she could speak, poor girl, but I understand I was in a similar situation. Our parents are not the smartest

I'm a survivor, I have begun to teach my little girl that I am here for her, to protect her no matter what anyone tells her. I'm also teaching her body autonomy, and that anyone touching her in any way that she's not okay with or ready for, even if it's a hug that she's allowed to say no.

The fact that you have such a positive outlook after all you've been through is truly amazing. Thank you for sharing your story. I have 2 daughters, and it is very scary knowing I won't always be able to know exactly what's going on in their lives at all times. But knowing what signs to look out for is helpful. I continue to have discussions with my 3 year old about privacy and consent, and I will do the same with my baby as she gets older. I hope they always feel safe talking to me about anything.

Having a daughter means be vigilant till she grows up. Because everyone, even family members could become potentially the abusers. It is for parents to be careful, don’t trust anyone till the girl grows up
