I have been playing this game for a while and even as a kid you could feel a massive change around 2018/19. It started to feel like they only wanted to get as much money as possible from you. It is understandable it’s a corporation and they have to make money but it just felt a bit over the top and on the nose. Also, the blatant shift towards being a “kids game” and increasing need for microtransactions feels a bit predatory in my opinion. I stopped playing the game and only came back mid-last year but it still felt the same. However, after the Christmas fiasco, it seems like there has been a bit of a shift which is great but we have to see how they move forward. (I know that nobody cares but it’s sad to see the game loose it’s charm (also very much intertwined with them trying to be “politically correct” thus the massive shifts in character personalities.))

I love the way that you are compassionate when you do agree with some of the criticism. I have been playing the game on and off since I was younger so when there were big updates and I came back It was always cool to see. I love the game even if its not perfect it does get a little discouraging seeing people be so hateful when speaking up abt what they don't like so its nice to see someone who understands that its not always going to be perfect.

I mean people who hate the global store are mad rn for sso is planing a global store for horses too and that's even worse for them.
It's also funny how some players complain over no quests in beautiful new areas like those forests... but sso actually DID that with the new v and everyone was crying 'ewww I don't want search for so most light so long' etc. whatever sso does it is. Not. Right.

SSO certainly is not the best horse game. There is competition for them coming out here and there, games that are much better for the equestrian community whom are needing that horse game that isn’t sour. Other horse games are coming out to take the title of “best horse game.” Ofc it’s still a good(ish) game, but it holds no content. Higher levels don’t have anything other than the scrappy quest that they come out with. Content is one of the most NEEDED things in a game. And it just doesn’t have it anymore the higher the level you go.

Excluding the fact that there are literally some things that can only be purchased in the global store, I agree that complaining about its existence doesn't make too much sense. You can still go around the fun (and better, lol) way to have a shopping spree. It is still fair to criticize SSO for constantly making unnecessary changes to the game that only serve to make them more money by making things easier, more accessible (but more expensive, lmao), etc. These small changes like global store or the horse version are definitely signs of a devolvement in the game's 'purpose' from "moody, magical, and realistic RP game" to "pokemon for horses, spend your daddy's money sweetheart!"

The last one. Two horses were also bought on my account a couple years ago. They removed both unbought horses from my account but did not refund the star coins spent.
