Hey man I know this video is 5 years old now but I've watched it through many times and I'm happy to say that I got into Berklee this year! Thank you for making this, I think it really helped!

I just met JP today and told him that I had learned a lot from this video when I had watched it years back. Heā€™s still an incredible teacher!

I got accepted to Berklee and this video helped a lot. I practiced each style you talked about and prepared them well then the guy told me to play a 12/8 Afro Cuban and I thought "Damn, that wasn't in JP's video." Lol. But thanks for the video. Can't wait to get there and learn even more.

Dude, it helped! Seriously. Good instruction. I'm not up for a Berkeley Audition (wish I could play like that) but just having you "voice" the parts beforehand was definitely helpful. Keep sending us the online tutorials! Always appreciated. Hope you have a great career, man!

I didn't relize how good you had to be to go to berklee. If your that good already you should already have a job

This is EXACTLY what I've been needing. I had a list of pretty much everything you covered, but seeing it all in action really helped too. Thanks for making this!

Not even a drummer but I watched this entire little series. Great mastery of music and its language, you communicated everything perfectly with great demonstration. Loved that up tempo jazz stuff. Great double time swing.
