Premise for the animatic, spoilers do not read if you don't want to:
Set after Tommy's revival, we see he's struggling with getting used to being alive while also reminiscing on his time with Wilbur. There we see he starts to question his relationship with Tubbo and we see him coming to terms that its no longer the duo Tommy and Tubbo, and that Tubbo has moved on without him.
He breaks down at this thought, the whole gone for 2 days and my best friend got married and moved on without me taking a toll on him. Suddenly he is tapped by a L'manburg Tubbo who tugs him up and out of his misery, bringing him to his home L'manburg. Just as he is about to reach out and return back into his brothers arms, Tommy is pulled back by Tubbo, barely saving him from falling into the crater that once was L'manburg.
Enraged by this close call, Tubbo goes to scream at him for being an idiot, only to realise with horror that Tommy is still in a trance like state, mumbling about how "I'm coming home Wilbur."
Tommy has broken down and is now stuck in a hallucinating state where he has returned back to the past, when L'manburg was whole, when Wilbur was alive, when it was the duo Tubbo and Tommy.

I like the fact that he was reaching towards Wilbur then it comes to Tubbo pulling him back (to reality)
It sorta reminds me of how Tommy said to Ranboo in a stream that He’s stealing Tubbo away from him and that he doesn’t have anyone else cause his only other best friend died aka Wilbur
Oh and is it calling back to the beginning when Tommy reached out to Tubbo but in the end stoped himself

This is so depressing. The fact Tommy wasn’t self-aware that he was about to fall is just heart-wrenching. The look of realization when Tubbo realizes he’s in a trance and tries to snap him out of it is— Argh. You’ve crumbled my heart, ran it over a few times and then burned it.
None of the DSMP animatics have been able to make me cry. Some have got close, including this one, but I’m still waiting.

Angst angst angst and I don't know card metaphors. But some sad, solemn, Tommy angst is really nice. I love the song choice, I haven't gone through all the metaphors yet because I don't know cards. Love the color changes from the white to the solemn gray, green, blue color. ( How when only Tommy looks up to see that it was L'manburg Tubbo that the screen turns to white and it becomes his fantasy. )
0:46 Peaks my interest. The cards lined up in what, I think, is normal form. Like they're layered over each other n' stuff, then there's blood splatter all over them and Dreamy boi in the middle with a smile, maybe conveying his affects and how he's affected them all, as previously it was shown that these cards are members of the SMP. There's probably something a lot deeper here with how the cards are placed ( it seems like there's only one right under Dream's card? ) Then afterwards, the Alliums grow from the sides of the cards. ( Not on the card Dream's smile is on, but its close to it. ) But there's 7 flowers, so uh- I presume this is relating to the people Ranboo's affected and helped, possibly, grow heal, or someone who he cares about. ( The cards COULD be separated by countries on the SMP, but the more I look at it, that doesn't seem like the case. )

So nice, mhm. There's probably more but there's a lot less and the description explains a lot. ( Tubbo's hand going over Tommy's eyes and pulling him back, referring to Tommy's blindness due to his realization about Tubbo and how they aren't no longer a duo/Tubbo isn't his best friend putting him into the trance. ) Tommy closing his eyes at the end in Tubbo's arms, just, nice. Mhm. Thanks for my next angst animatic for a month.
Small Edit: 0:58 'Trying to tear the wool from your eyes," Tommy goes into a trance after this, where he's reaching out to Ranboo and Tubbo, but decides to turn away. ( Or they don't look back. ) Just small thing. I don't know what it means entirely, yet. ( I don't think it means much else, but was possible an inspiration for the plot since it fits so in line with the concept, or was a convenient thing that just happened to be there. )

This is so good, I can’t stress how much I love this animatic. Like with tommy being so excited to see everyone in the past and then it all being fake but still smiling and being stuck in that reality even though all the l’manburgians were gone was soo good. Great animatic <3
