Being from ct not far from mass to see this evolve π₯ I grew up loving jadakiss heavy, dmx, mobb deep high level rap story tellers . I never thought someone would carry tradition the way millyz is , you gotta respect it the delivery is insane . Jada the only dude really able to have his own catalog that he could eat off and put it together like he did and the blueprint was layer out and your coming thru for sure keep it going . I've watched his come-up for years now but really started listening to his music in March 2020 after the pandemic hit & I was stuck at home.
And while I knew he was super talented, I definitely didn't see him going on this kind of run over the last 24 months, dude's been dropping a STUPID volume of incredible music (Blanco 3 & 4, the "Pablo & Blanco" joint album w/Dave East, countless freestyles, etc.)
But it was the No Jumper interview which caused me to be 100% certain he'd be the next to blow. (BTW if you haven't watched it, make sure you do bc its GOLD) Millyz was totally transparent about how hard it was to come-up in the rap scene, how much persistence was required IN THE FACE OF CONTINUED FAILURE (like showing up at the BET cyphers several years in a row, just in the hope someone wouldn't show & he'd get a chance to step in), honestly saying he didn't have more than $10K to his name for 5+ years bc he kept reinvesting all profits back into his music, etc.
It's awesome seeing talented good people get their shine after grinding in the shadows for years, can't wait to see Millyz really blow up & become a household name in the next 2 years
