For future reference: Filipino culture has the Bakunawa, which is a dragon that causes lunar eclipses. It's a dragon known for eating the moon. There's all sorts of traditions. Filipinos usually make a lot of noise with pots and pans to keep the moon from being swallowed. There's a lot of different variations on the Bakunawa because the Philippines has tons of different tribes. Feel free to deep dive into it!

I'm a science teacher who's definitely going to use this video next time I'm teaching eclipses. The clear passion about the subject, the way you weave it into a story and link to the broader themes, and such a clear explanation of the complexities of orbital dynamics all go together to make it a superb resource. Thank you.
Oh and I enjoyed the video very much as well.

I live in Salt Lake City, right near the path of the total eclipse. What's interesting is that the eclipse happened on the exact day of my little sister's wedding, and they had no idea they scheduled it during an eclipse until a month beforehand (they had set a date almost a year in advance). It was extremely cool, and a lot of my extended family that traveled here got to see their first eclipse ever.

Mad props to Red for saying how rude it is to film strangers in public and for not caring that this video is different from the others
