I'm convinced she is from another world. Her voice is just amazing. This band is fantastic. Their music is TIMELESS and so SOULFUL . I absolutely love them.

I think this is one of the best live performances SNL has ever had. I remember when it aired, not knowing anything about the band, and just being blown away by it. Come back to this every now and then just to get the chills.

This song is the epitome of what it is for a band to be totally vibing together.

Repeating the song for 88th time in a day: once again, Alabama Shakes

Let's also appreciate her mic technique. Not only can she sing BUT she knows how to use the effing mic. If you're loud, step away, quiet and get closer. She's amazing.

This woman is a seismic event. Her voice and musicianship make the tectonic plates collide. There's a closet fragility in the command and challenge in her vocals that make us submit to her world view. This is an authentic woman whose gifts & collaborations will combine to heal us all.

You can tell how much of respect she has for the art

I rarely see people comment on her guitar playing but she’s really great at pulling out every drop of emotion from those chords and neck bend vibrato. Plus I love the 3-pickup SG nod to Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

Mad respect. Only musicians truly know the level of amazingness this is. Tone. Dynamics. Feel. Groove. I love songs that are simple and complex at the same time. This song consists of no more than 4 chords.

She reminds me so much of Etta James in this particular performance, but Brittany is definitely in a category of her own. Every sound and word she sings has so much power and soul. Then when you combine that with her raw rasp and tone, you can't help but get hooked in and feel each and every note. She's amazing!
