Today, Motorola announced not one but two new additions to its iconic phone line with the 2023 Razr and Razr+. Packing a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and a 3.5-inch exterior display – which Motorola says is the biggest on any foldable phone on sale right now – the Razr+ is the more premium while the standard Razr has the potential to be a great entry-level gadget for people new to foldables. Unfortunately, there’s still no word on a price or release date for the basic Razr, but with the Razr+ slated to go on sale on June 23rd for $1,000 we should know a lot more about that model real soon.

Processor and chipsets... Yeah, that's for the 5% of phone buyers who care about this kind of stuff. Screen brightness, battery life, charging speed, use single handed, vanilla Android, how the hinge feels, does the leather bind against your pocket or slide smoothly... That's kinda what most folks are into.

Thanks for giving us something new moto! Apple keeps releasing the same phone over and over again. This is refreshing!

Everyone including tech reviewers forgets that IP rating numbers are separate, in IP52 only the 2 refers to water resistance, the 5 refers to dust resistance

The small screen is fantastic and the display area used is great. Big and Spacious, it is better than Samsung and its competitors

I literally got this phone today, in the magenta after my Galaxy z flip 4 died from the black screen of death. So far I’m enjoying it especially the external screen ❤

This is quite a nostalgic phone from Motorola. It's quite unique and it is beautiful. The functionality is unique and useful. Love what they did.

Thank you for the info. I am on day 3 of my new 2023 Razr Plus, and have found it a bit difficult to navigate and understand compared to my old GS8 Plus. I wanted to stay in Android, and thought this would be a good fun for work. It is very sensitive to the touch, and a lot more sophisticated than any other phone I have had. But, patience, and videos like yours, can really help. This phone does a lot, and I doubt that I will use all of it features So far, I am not sure if I like the phone, but I think so. LOL

After two years with Z flip 3 I am never going back to a full size phone again. The pocket size of the phone is just too good and practical. The Motorola big half screen looks great and might be the standard for other flip phones too. The compromise you get when you go for a flip phone is absolutely okay to live with. While I am waiting on Z flip 5 I will definitely keep this under my radar and keep watching reviews to see what experience people have with the Motorola phone.

I have the 2020 5g razr so the most important thing to see with this new one is battery life. I have to charge this phone twice during a 24 hr day and Google maps is slightly slow and laggy at some points

i think another reason there is less battery on the razr+ vs the razr is that Motorola built the razr+ to be used closed more than open and so there is a smaller screen and less pixels to power for everyday use. With the standard razr you still have to open it to really intact and use it so its mainly powering the large display and so i think that we will see similar battery life from both.

It's not the phone for me, I like book foldables over clamshells but I REALLY like this implementation on the Razr+. Love Samsung and all but always glad to see other makers still sticking in the game

How are the speaker/speakers? I have a Zflip3 and my music sounds fairly good from its speakers. Not the quality of my ear buds, but competent enough for using maps or streaming.

Very well done presentation. If it was up to me, I'll go with the original razor that outside screen looks like it would be too easy to get broke, And the battery life on the original is so much better as well.😊

Is this amazing phone can use the front and back camera at the same time like the other modern phones nowadays?

I like the standard version. I'm striving not to be on my phone as much nowadays.

I like the regular Razr more. When I close it, I actually want fewer distractions.
