NOTE: Page 124 of Codex Space Marines states a few restriction for what units cannot be from particular Chapters. In this particular case, STERNGUARD VETERAN SQUAD and VANGUARD VETERAN SQUAD cannot be from a Dark Angel chapter or successor chapter.

Thanks for turning this video around so fast, shows your dedication to the community. Just 1 FYI, Ravenwing do suffer -1 to hit when they advance. Doesnβt really matter with Blacknights as they are Assualt weapons anyway but it does mean you can fire Heavy weapons from landspeeders with -1. ππΌ. Some may say OP I say itβs Fluffy and narrative. π

Could be wrong but pretty sure the Ravenwing doctrine is you can fire heavy or rapid weapons as if they are assault on first turn meaning there will be a -1 if they advanced

You got Speed of The Raven a bit wrong. The +3β movement is correct, but the shooting bit is simply that you can shoot any weapon if you advanced but incur the -1 to hit as if they were assault weapons. So you will shoot rapid fire, assault, and heavy at -1.

Yes D. StrikeMaster came out with the new points in start of January. I like that each army is more true to their lore, but the new codex's are way more powerful then before, so power creap between editions and hope they keep it at this nice level. Dark Angels are 3 in 1 army, much like I suspect Drukhari Codex to be.

Hey buddy, first of all, I would like to say I am now very comfortable with your jingle. I enjoyed it to begin with but you always want to listen a few times and see if it gives you the same feeling and it does. I now identify that bit of music at the beginning with the build-up to watching one of your videos.
This new codex does seem to showcase strong forces when focussed around certain narratives which is really nice. From what you have said about the various elements within it there does seem to be some rules breakers that will set other forces rules in a head to head with these (always hits on 2s vs something that you need 'x' to hit.), so I am looking forward to some DZTV Batreps to help me understand how those moments will pan out.

So my thoughts so far;
- I really want Grey Knights to get something like the Inner Circle rule to make the Paladins a bit harder to budge.
- Deathwing Knight Bombs is going to be the go-to Dark Angels list for competitive play, maybe with a Greenwing patrol bolted on to give some staying power.
- Dark Angels vs. Death Guard is going to be a common competitive sight
- Strike Leaders are new
- I'm mixed on how I feel about Bladeguard getting Inner Circle, but I can live with it.

Yeah, I have seen from other previews that Dark Angels got so much more than others in the Doctrines. Kind of a bummer for those other Chapters. :( I do get that some of the abilities only affect certain units, but I'd have taken that. It is stuff like this that help these rumors of pet armies/factions/Chapters. And perhaps there is not Codex power creep, but Supplement power creep seems to be a thing. Sucks for those of us who are, once again, at the bottom of the pile. sigh Ah well.

Don't forget the Interrogator Chaplains, who can now basically double as smash captains on steroids! Master of Sanctity + Jump Pack (135 pts), Teeth of Terra and Imperium Sword as trait + one extra DA trait... Choose good Litanies and he goes up to 10A at S8 AP-3 Dmg3 and a choice of +1 to wound, or some sick re-rolls :D
