I have very fair cool/neutral skin and the I Need a Nude palette is my first Natasha Denona palette because each of those "basically the same" mattes look quite different when I apply them and it is exactly the kind of colour story I have been searching for over many years. I have plenty of shimmers from other brands that could do the same thing but the mattes make it worth it for me. I love it!

I love your comparisons!! I have both and I actually surprisingly prefer the ND over makeup by Mario on my medium tan skin tone. The mattes are indeed grippier which is what I think makes the huge difference for me. Those mid tone mattes in ND are more buildable as well and not ashy and dusty on my skin tone. That pink matte in makeup by Mario shows up dusty greyish pink but in ND both pink shades show up light pink and nudey pink. I love it!! The deeper matte taupe also can be built up and worn in the crease but in makeup by Mario the grey taupe is too light and dusty for the outer part of my eyes. You are also so right, the ND wears longer... the overall look lasts much longer. I enjoy also the variety of shimmer textures in ND so much. Makeup by Mario wet shades seem to just float on my eyes meanwhile ND shimmers and wet shades sink right in and in the end look more sophisticated. I do enjoy that there are more mid tones mattes and a warm brown one in Makeup by Mario but the lighter mattes look all the same on me. Also the deepest matte can't be used as a liner like in the ND palette. Sorry for the extra long comment😆.

Me seeing this video title: TOO LATE! lmao- but I agree they've very similar. The difference in formulas has helped me make peace with my purchase of both of them, they are different in that regard, but I agree most people don't need both. I just had severe FOMO for Ethereal Eyes and now I can be at peace with it. I will say I do not need another nude palette for a very long time though!

I was waiting months for makeup by Mario to bring back the ethereal eyes and when I need a nude came out I went for it because I was sick of waiting and the color story and finishes seemed similar. Then two weeks after purchasing, MBM brought back ethereal eyes of course lol so I had to purchase it but I do like both, I just slightly prefer the shades in MBM. I think worth it for both if you have the funds though. 😊

I watched a ton of videos on both palettes and ultimately went with the Mario, and I'm so glad I did! I like ND but find that there's usually 1 standout glitter (Muse) and the others just aren't sparkly enough for me. As for mattes, I really love a powdery, blends itself shadow like ABH, and the Mario mattes are that. So easy to put on, no issues darkening up the crease it doesn't get muddy, all the glitters (however similar) are stunning. I like that ND comes with more shades for the price, but I reach more for slightly smaller palettes like Mario. I wish the Mario brown metallic was a little cooler like ND, but I really like the effect of the metallic even. The bottom row metallic is very sparkly and it feels like you get 3 different shimmer/sparkle finishes. The Mario is really my ideal every day neutral palette, I love it! Thanks for the comparisons, your previous videos definitely helped me decide which one was right for me.

The fact that I can easily take out the shadows in the Natasha Denona palette to pop into other custom palettes also gives it an advantage over Ethereal Eyes. I’m torn on whether I will be picking this up this year, depends on what kind of sale there is over the holidays, but if not, I can wait.

While I LOVE my ND INAN palette, I do agree that there should have been more diversity between the matte shades in particular. Even some of the shimmers aren’t different enough. They are different textures, but on the eyes, those differences in texture aren’t that noticeable. I still love it and would buy it again in a heartbeat.
