I saw her live once, at one of the concerts where she opened for David Crosby and Graham Nash. I'd never heard of her before. I think it was about the time her first album was released. I was completely captivated by her. I got the album and listened to it a lot, and also the second album. It's a tragedy that she died so young.

JS was so intense in her thoughts, yet not one drop of her beautiful music shows any anger, or grudge. Her melodies are as sweet as Big Star. And just listen to the production on her first lp!! Beyond real. i love her, and always will. Someday someone will make a docu about her called Something Judee Sill. I`m begging for the real life, the book that honours that sublime music she made.

True spirituality at its literary best but filled with love- the concept of love from so many angles- no musician comes close to her. Every song a spiritual #1. I lived in LA in the 70s. Wish I would have known her!
